I wrote this after meeting with an old friend that I hadn't seen or communicated with for over 25 years. Strangely we haven't communicated since either. Yet somehow the friendship still exists and remains ever fresh in my heart.

Time goes by in the blink of an eye, lifetimes hurtle past

Tomorrows turn to yesterdays, slipping through my grasp

 

So many years. Slip off our hearts and disappear

After all that we’ve been through, how did I lose you?
